DC Charging Cable - CAIRE Eclipse 5 Concentrator

With the help of the DC power supply / car adapter, the Eclipse 5's system is able to use power from DC power sources, such as those found in vehicles, for operation.

Please note that the battery of the Eclipse 5 oxygen concentrator cannot be charged via a DC power supply. For this, you will need an AC power supply.

When the device is properly connected and the power supply (direct current) is working, a green light will light up on the power supply and on the external power indicator on the control panel.

  • If the Eclipse 5 is operated via the DC connection of a vehicle, the device works in continuous flow mode with 3 LPM.
  • If the Eclipse 5 is operated via the DC connection of a vehicle in continuous flow with 2 LPM or less, the battery is charged at the same time.
  • When the Eclipse 5 battery is being charged, the bars of the battery icon will flash one after the other. If the Eclipse 5 battery is not charged, the battery symbol remains constant.
  • If the Eclipse 5 oxygen concentrator is operated via the DC power supply / car adapter, all settings of the continuous flow mode that exceed 2 liters per minute (LPM) are automatically reduced to 2 liters per minute (LPM).

How to Use

1. Make sure that your vehicle's 12V on-board socket is clean and free of foreign objects.

2. Firmly plug the DC angled plug into the power input of your CAIRE Eclipse 5 concentrator.

3. Firmly connect the car adapter plug to the car's cigarette lighter or 12V socket.

4. Start the vehicle engine to ensure a stable power supply to the onboard network.

5. Turn on the oxygen concentrator and check the charge indicator on the device display.

  • Start engine before connection: Always start the vehicle engine before plugging in the adapter to avoid voltage spikes when starting

The DC cable has been specially developed for the mobile oxygen concentrator CAIRE Eclipse 5 (as well as backwards compatible for Eclipse 3). For other devices such as the CAIRE FreeStyle Comfort, the cable is not suitable due to the different connector shape.
