The long-term care of patients with a chronically high oxygen demand (such as severe COPD, pulmonary fibrosis or in pediatric intensive care) poses immense challenges for nurses. When standard devices with a flow rate of 5 liters per minute are no longer sufficient, relatives and professionals quickly come under extreme psychological pressure. The greatest challenge in everyday care is to protect against respiratory undersupply or an unnoticed drop in system pressure, which can lead to clinically unstable conditions in the case of long hose lines or the use of special accessories (such as nebulizers). How to Use

1. Choose a safe location: Position the NewLife Intensity 10 on a firm, level floor. Keep a distance of at least 30 cm from walls all around to ensure air circulation.

2. Connect to the mains: Plug the rugged power cord directly into a wall outlet. For safety reasons, avoid using extension cords or multiple plugs.

3. Install humidifier bottle (optional): Fill the certified humidifier with distilled water and screw it tightly to the device's oxygen outlet or bracket.

4. Connect the hose system: Connect the high-flow oxygen hose or the corresponding special nasal cannula to the outlet nozzle of the concentrator or humidifier bottle.

5. Turn on the device: Turn on the power cord toggle switch. A short acoustic signal and the illumination of the indicator lights confirm the successful system self-test.

6. Precisely adjust the flow rate: Turn the flow regulator until the ball in the flowmeter is exactly at the number of litres prescribed by the doctor (up to 10 l/min).
