Complete Your Therapy

Everything you need to know about the Philips DreamStation | Auto-CPAP

Sensor-controlled pressure adjustment for reliable breathing safety

The system detects breathing patterns with high sensitivity and regulates the therapy pressure fully automatically. You will receive exactly the necessary support in every phase of sleep, which reliably minimizes breathing interruptions and makes it easier for you to breathe naturally.

SmartRamp technology for relaxed falling asleep

The intelligent ramp keeps the therapy pressure at a low, comfortable level at the beginning of the night. Only when the device detects that you are falling asleep is the pressure carefully increased to the therapeutically necessary value.

OptiStart function to prevent residual apnea

This innovative function calculates your individual pressure requirement of the past nights and starts the therapy directly with your optimal therapeutic entry pressure. This prevents respiratory events immediately after switching on.

Low-noise turbine protects the usual sleeping environment

The extremely quiet fan works acoustically inconspicuously in the background of your bedroom. This prevents annoying noise for you and your partner, which promotes the acceptance of your daily CPAP use in the long term.

Frequently asked questions

What diagnosis is Philips DreamStation Auto-CPAP best suited for?

The device is primarily used to treat diagnosed obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) in adults. It is ideal for users who suffer from nocturnal breathing interruptions and prefer automatic, on-demand pressure adjustment.

How does a car CPAP machine differ from a classic CPAP machine?

A classic CPAP machine provides a fixed, constant pressure value throughout the night. The DreamStation Auto-CPAP (APAP) continuously and fully automatically adjusts the pressure to your breathing phases using sensitive respiratory flow sensors.

How does DreamStation's EZ-Start feature help me?

EZ-Start helps CPAP beginners to get used to the therapy by automatically reducing the prescribed therapy pressure during the first few nights. Over the first 30 days, the pressure is gradually increased until the target value is reached.

How does SmartRamp technology work when you fall asleep?

SmartRamp keeps the pressure at a low, very comfortable level during the falling asleep phase. Only when the system detects via the breathing sensors that you have fallen asleep is the pressure gently increased to the therapeutic level.

How loud is the Philips DreamStation in operation?

With a sound pressure level of approx. 25.8 dB(A), the device works whisper-quietly and is hardly audible in normal bedroom operation. This protects the familiar sleeping environment and also ensures an undisturbed night's sleep for your partner.

Can I connect a humidifier to the DreamStation?

Yes, the unit is fully compatible with the optional DreamStation Humidifier. This can be docked seamlessly to the device and effectively protects your nasal mucous membranes from drying out.

Which masks are compatible with the Philips DreamStation?

The DreamStation has a standardized 22 mm tube connection and is therefore compatible with almost all common CPAP masks (nasal, pillow or full-face masks) from all manufacturers.

How can I view and evaluate my daily therapy data?

You can read your sleep values directly on the device's display when you wake up. For a detailed analysis, you can transfer the data via Bluetooth to the DreamMapper app or use the removable SD card.

How often do the air filters in the DreamStation need to be changed?

The blue pollen filter is reusable and should be washed out every two weeks and replaced after six months. The light grey ultra-fine filter is a disposable filter and must be replaced after 30 days at the latest.
