The successful treatment of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) stands and falls with the acceptance of your CPAP mask. If you breathe mainly through your mouth at night or need a reliable seal under high therapy pressure, the conventional, bulky full-face mask is often an obstacle.

The ResMed AirFit™ F40 breaks with these limitations. As an ultra-compact full-face mask, it sits stably and gently below the bridge of the nose.

This consistently avoids painful pressure points on the sensitive nasal bone as well as disturbing visual field restrictions. The ultra-soft AdaptiBlue™ silicone cushion flexibly adapts to your individual facial features and movements. This means that the mask remains absolutely tight even during pronounced changes of position at night.

For you as an active sleep therapy patient, the AirFit F40 means a new feeling of freedom in the sleeping area. Since the classic forehead support frame is completely omitted, you can easily wear your glasses, read or watch TV in the evening before falling asleep relaxed.

The innovative QuietAir™ exhaust opening ensures that the exhaled air is distributed extremely finely, draught-free and quietly throughout the room. This creates an undisturbed, peaceful atmosphere for you and your partner.

The minimalist headband can be opened and closed intuitively using practical magnetic clips, which makes everyday use easier.

How to Use

1. Detach the lower magnetic clips of the headband from the mask frame.

2. Carefully place the mask cushion under your nose and pass the headgear over your head.

3. Bring the lower magnetic clips back to the frame until they click into place.

4. Adjust the top and bottom Velcro straps evenly until the mask fits comfortably but stably.

5. Connect the breathing tube of your CPAP machine to the elbow of the mask and start the therapy.

Important Tips

  • Cleaning after waking up: Wash the silicone pad daily with warm water and mild soap to remove harmful skin oils
  • Observe magnetic distance: For safety reasons, keep a minimum distance of 15 cm between the magnetic clips and implanted pacemakers
  • Do not pull the headband too tight: The elastic silicone cushion develops its sealing power through the air pressure; lashing too tightly only creates pressure points
  • Weekly deep cleaning: Soak the headband and frame in warm soapy water once a week and let everything air dry
  • Keep the QuietAir ring clear: Make sure that the tiny outlet openings on the elbow are not blocked by duvets or pillows
