Product Details

The ResMed AirSense™ 10 AutoSet is an advanced auto-CPAP machine (APAP) designed specifically for the needs of home care.

Using precise sensor technology, the system continuously records the flow parameters of breathing during sleep. The integrated AutoSet algorithm automatically and smoothly regulates therapy pressure from breath to breath in demand-based mode. This makes individual adaptation much easier, as the device reacts independently to changing breathing patterns and thus ensures continuous support of the airways.

The system offers a high level of functional comfort for the user. To make the transition to sleep as pleasant as possible, the device has a auto ramp with sleep detection. The system starts with a low, comfortable initial pressure and only gently increases it to the individually prescribed therapy level after the transition to sleep. The built-in Easy-Breathe motor operates exceptionally quietly with a minimum noise level of 26.6 dB, which protects the sleeping environment for the user as well as for the partner or caregivers in the same room.

The attractive, functional design blends discreetly into the home environment. The clear display allows you to quickly check the mask fit to ensure proper sealing of the system and prevent leaks. An integrated brightness sensor ensures that the display illumination automatically adapts to the ambient light and goes out automatically after adjustment.

The digital ResMed platform myAir can be used to easily track the recorded usage data if required, which supports transparent documentation of the course of therapy.

This device is intended for use on prescription only. Its settings must be determined by a qualified healthcare professional.

How to Use

1. Position the AirSense 10 AutoSet on a stable, horizontal footprint and connect the power cord to the connector on the back of the device.

2. Firmly connect the SlimLine™ Breathing Tube to the swivel connector on the back of the therapy device.

3. Securely connect the remaining end of the breathing tube to the fitting of your CPAP mask.

4. Put on the mask as prescribed and start ventilation by pressing the start button on the top of the device.

5. Use the "Check Mask Fit" function in the Device Manager to ensure correct and leak-free positioning of the mask.

Important Tips

  • Replace The Water Daily

    If you use the integrated humidifier, empty the water tub each morning and refill it with fresh water before bedtime. This helps maintain hygiene and supports consistent humidification.
  • Check And Replace The Air Filter Regularly

    Inspect the air filter regularly and replace it at least every six months, or sooner if it becomes dirty or damaged. A clean filter helps maintain optimal airflow and protects your device.
  • Keep Your Equipment Clean

    Clean your mask, tubing and humidifier regularly following the manufacturer's instructions. Proper maintenance helps keep your therapy comfortable and your equipment performing as intended.

What is the difference between AutoSet and Standard CPAP mode?

AutoSet mode (APAP) continuously adjusts the ventilation pressure to the patient's actual needs. A classic CPAP mode, on the other hand, provides a fixed, constant pressure over the entire application time.

What breathing tubes can be used with the AirSense 10?

The device is operated with the SlimLine hose as standard. However, it is also compatible with the optionally available ClimateLineAir heated hose, which prevents condensation in the hose system. Warmed breathing air protects the mucous membranes and has a positive influence on avoiding dry throat and nose in the morning.

Can the device be used without a humidifier?

Yes, operation without the optional HumidAir humidifier is possible without any problems. In this case, a separate side cover is available to seal the humidifier opening on the housing dust-tight. If you buy the device without a humidifier, the cover is included in the scope of delivery and does not have to be purchased separately. A humidifier can be connected at any time afterwards.

How does the auto-ramp make it easier to start therapy?

The auto-ramp keeps the therapy pressure at a low level at the beginning of the application to make it easier to fall asleep. Only when the system registers the sleep state via the breathing sensors is the pressure adjusted to the therapeutic level.

How often does the integrated air filter need to be replaced?

The standard air filter should be replaced regularly, but at least every six months. If there is a high level of dust pollution in the living room, a monthly visual inspection and, if necessary, an early change is recommended.

What does the EPR (exhalation) function do?

EPR slightly lowers the ventilation pressure at the beginning of exhalation. This reduces the resistance to the airflow when exhaling and provides a more physiological and comfortable breathing experience.

How are the recorded therapy data transmitted?

The device has an integrated mobile radio module that automatically transmits the usage data after the end of therapy. Alternatively, the data can be read out and documented via the removable SD card. For example, simply take them with you to your next doctor's visit. This makes it easy for your doctor to read out your therapy data.

How does the automatic start-stop function work?

As soon as the patient inhales into the mask that is applied, the device starts ventilation on its own. After removing the mask, the airflow switches off automatically after a few seconds.

What care does the SlimLine breathing tube need?

The hose should be cleaned weekly with warm water and a mild detergent, rinsed thoroughly with clean water and then dried hanging in the air.
