What should I compare when choosing products in this category?

How do I know if the suction catheter is the right size?

The catheter diameter should be no more than half the internal diameter of the tracheostomy tube. Using a catheter that is too large can block the customer's air supply during the procedure.
What is an HME and why is it called an "artificial nose"?

An HME (Heat and Moisture Exchanger) captures the customer's own warmth and humidity when they exhale. It then gives it back when they inhale, replacing the filtering and warming function of the nose.
How many times can I reuse a suction catheter?

Suction catheters are strictly single-use and must be discarded after every pass into the trachea. Reusing them significantly increases the risk of life-threatening lung infections.
Why is the connector or circuit type important?

Ventilation and suction systems can use different connection formats and circuit configurations. The product specification should match the equipment already in use.
